Gunshots Erupt During Carnival in Brazil, Multiple Injured
Gunshots were fired during one of the carnival parades in São Paulo, Brazil, resulting in at least five injuries. This was reported by the G1 portal on February 16, citing the local public safety department.
According to preliminary reports, a group of individuals attempted to assault police officers with the intent of committing robbery. In the incident, all injured parties were hospitalized. Eyewitnesses recounted that a group tried to seize the weapon of a police officer who was monitoring the carnival's security. The officer opened fire, injuring five individuals, including one of the assailants.
