Car Accident on Yerevan-Yeraskh Road Ends Up in Gorge
Today, on February 17, a major car accident occurred in the Ararat region. At around 16:40, vehicles with license plates 36 MC 431 (Volkswagen) and 36 MR 551 (Opel) collided on the 48 km section of the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, preliminary information indicates that there are no reported injuries from the accident. Officers from the 1st platoon of the 2nd police company of the Road Police, Serzhant Sahak Avetisyan and Serzhant David Manukyan, arrived at the scene.
The investigation at the site was led by investigator Gevorg Poghosyan, who is preparing the necessary materials on the incident. The police are working to establish the identities of the drivers. The photojournalist reports that due to the collision, the Volkswagen veered off the roadway and ended up in a gorge, crashing into trees.
