Car Accident and Fire in Yerevan: Opel Collides with Power Station
On February 15, a car accident and fire occurred in Yerevan. Around 08:30, the driver of an Opel vehicle lost control and crossed into the oncoming lane on Tbilisi Highway under still unclear circumstances, colliding with a power station.
According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, a fire broke out in the vehicle, and the driver was transported to the hospital with burns to the face.
Emergency responders from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' Fire and Rescue Service, Station No. 5, arrived promptly at the scene with two firefighting units. The firefighters extinguished the blaze that had erupted in the car and conducted cooling operations on the gas cylinder, securing the area.
The police are investigating the driver's identity.
