Sale of Asphyxiated Animals' Meat Prevented
Yesterday, a barn belonging to Emma Hovhannisyan, a resident of the village of Akhurik in the Shirak region, caught fire. While the firefighters were conducting firefighting operations, 6 cows and 4 calves present in the barn suffocated and fell. This information was reported by the Food Safety Inspection Body of the Republic of Armenia.
Upon learning about the incident, specialists from the Shirak regional center of the Food Safety Inspection Body quickly arrived in the Akhurik community and suspended any attempts to sell the fallen animals' meat on-site. The already slaughtered animals and the available meat products were buried with the presence and efforts of the Food Safety Inspection Body inspectors.
