Prosecution's Clarification Regarding the Criminal Case Investigating the Death of Soldier Vahram Avagyan

In connection with the death of soldier Vahram Mkrtich Avagyan, three fellow servicemen have been detained as part of the ongoing criminal investigation, while the fourth has been placed under the supervision of command. Incorrect information was published in the media yesterday due to a misunderstanding. In this regard, the Prosecutor's Office has issued a clarification regarding the ongoing criminal case. The clarification is as follows:

"In this regard, we find it necessary to mention that, as previously reported, regarding the death of conscript soldier Vahram Mkrtich Avagyan, three of his fellow servicemen, D. Movsisyan, K. Gasparyan, and S. Avetisyan, have been arrested on suspicion of committing a criminal act under part 3 of Article 359 of the RA Criminal Code. During the pre-trial investigation, as we have stated, conscript soldiers D. Movsisyan, K. Gasparyan, and A. Sargsyan have been charged under part 3 of Article 359 of the RA Criminal Code, and remand in custody has been chosen as a preventive measure for them. Junior sergeant S. Avetisyan has been charged under part 3 of Article 359 of the RA Criminal Code, and the preventive measure applied to him is the placement under the supervision of command."
