One of the Defendants in the Case of Soldier Vahram Avagyan's Death Has His Detention Measure Changed

On January 30, in the military training center of the Artsakh Defense Army, the detention measure for one of the three defendants in the case of soldier Vahram Avagyan's death has been changed. The new measure chosen for him is to be placed under the supervision of command.

On January 30, 2020, around 13:15, in the military training center, a criminal case was initiated regarding the death of conscript soldier Vahram Mkrtich Avagyan, and charges were brought against conscript soldiers Khachik Grigoryan, Spartak Avetisyan, and Davit Movsisyan under Article 359, Part 3 of the RA Criminal Code, which pertains to violations of the regulations governing relationships among soldiers when there is an absence of subordinate relations, resulting in serious consequences due to negligence. A detention measure had been previously selected for them.

Earlier, it was reported that three of Avagyan's fellow servicemen were arrested in connection with the ongoing criminal investigation into his death.
