A Gegharkunik Resident Stabs Person Who Insulted His Deceased Mother

As a result of investigative actions carried out by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia in the Vardenis investigative department of the Gegharkunik regional investigative division, a case of intentionally causing serious harm to the health of a 44-year-old man has been uncovered.

An indictment has been filed against one person. According to the data obtained during the investigation, on January 26, 2020, at about 21:30, a man born in 1971, in the garage of a private house in Geghamasar community of Gegharkunik province, after clarifying remarks regarding insulting statements made about his deceased mother, intentionally inflicted knife wounds on a 44-year-old resident of the same province, causing serious harm to his health.

Based on the combination of the evidence obtained, the 48-year-old man has been charged under the first part of Article 112 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. A detention measure is being chosen in his regard. The pre-trial investigation continues.
