Judoist Ferdinand Karapetyan Reaches Final of Israel Grand Prix

Member of the Armenian judo team, Ferdinand Karapetyan, has had a successful start at the international tournament in Tel Aviv. In the current year's first Grand Prix in the 73 kg weight category, Karapetyan won 6 matches and reached the final, where he will compete against Fabio Basile from Italy.

This Grand Prix is crucial for qualification for the Olympic Games. Judoists will receive quotas for the Tokyo Olympic Games based on their rankings in the international federation's qualifier tables. The final rankings will be published on May 25, 2020, and the first 25 athletes will earn the right to compete in the Games.
