Incident's Relation to Our Office Under Investigation, Statement to Follow: Viktor Soghomonyan

Viktor Soghomonyan, head of Robert Kocharyan's office, stated in a conversation with journalists that a statement will be issued once they gather and clarify information to determine whether the incident is related to them.

“There are many offices at the ‘Erebuni Plaza’. One of them is Robert Kocharyan’s office, which is located on the 6th floor. Once we have a description of the events and can ascertain how this incident relates to our office, we will issue a statement,” he said, responding to a question regarding eyewitness accounts that indicated the shooter had inquired about the location of Kocharyan’s office.

Addressing security concerns, Soghomonyan noted that the office has been in this location for around 12 years without any incidents. He also emphasized that the security personnel at Erebuni Plaza have no connection to the security service of Kocharyan's office.

It should be recalled that the police of the Republic of Armenia received reports of gunfire at the ‘Erebuni Plaza’ business center on January 23 at 14:43.
