Roads Closed and Difficult to Pass in Armenia
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of 10:00 AM today, there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass (from the Gegharkunik region) is closed to trucks and difficult to pass for passenger vehicles. The Sotk-Karvachar road is difficult to navigate for all types of vehicles.
In the Vardenyats Pass (from the Vayots Dzor region), on the Gorayk-Zanger road, and on the highways of Hrazdan city in Kotayk region, there are patches of icy conditions. Snow is falling in the Saravan-Zanger section.
According to the information obtained from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Department and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia's North Ossetia, the Stepanstminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
Construction work is being carried out on the Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Bagratashen road, resulting in the section being closed for trucks. The following alternative route has been established: Dilijan-Noyemberyan-Bagratashen.
