Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has revealed that his younger son, Nikolai, often speaks of Russian President Vladimir Putin as an example.

“Nikolai is a friend of Vladimir Vladimirovich, he is not my friend. He often says, ‘Look how the president should act. Here, see how Vladimir Vladimirovich behaves,’” Lukashenko stated in an interview with Echo of Moscow radio.

Lukashenko recounted that during a meeting in Sochi, when they were preparing to play hockey, Nikolai refused to play on his father's team and expressed a desire to join Putin's team.
