20-Year-Old Driver Crashes Volkswagen into Ravine in Syunik Province, Several Injured
Today, a major car accident occurred in Syunik Province. Around 04:10, 20-year-old Tigran Tigranyan, a resident of Goris, lost control of the Volkswagen Vento he was driving while attempting a left turn on the Yerevan-Goris highway at the 233 km mark. The vehicle veered off the road, collided with iron guardrails, and rolled several times for about 100 meters before landing upside down in a ravine, next to another crashed car.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, the driver T. Tigranyan and his passengers, 23-year-old Edik Mashuryan and 21-year-old Harut Yolyan, both residents of Goris, were transported to the “Goris” medical center with bodily injuries. G. Shamshyan reported that the driver underwent a sobriety test, which revealed he was under the influence.
