Aren't They Our Children? Employees of Nairishin Company Demand Salaries

Employees from several companies operating under the Nairishin joint-stock company are protesting in the yard of the company located in the administrative area of Yegvard, Kotayk Province.

“We have received no response from either the authorities or management. They say there is no money in the account, yet properties worth millions have been sold here. Following the court ruling on insolvency, they have no right to do such things, yet they have done so; they have given us nothing. We have worked and want our salaries; we are not asking for charity,” the employees state.

They are now unsure who to turn to for solving their issues. “We have elected representatives from our area; let them come and resolve this issue. We are receiving no responses from anyone,” the employees added.

The company director, Egor Kherimyan, stated that apart from 4-5 individuals, the employees of Nairishin have received their wages, but the rest are facing final settlement issues that are being resolved. He noted that they have 300 million in receivables and have been declared insolvent for 60 million.
