«Joghouvout». New revelations from the illegal adoption case of children. Law enforcement has found families

«Joghouvout» newspaper reports that yesterday, under suspicion of illegally separating a child from its parents, the director of the «Republican Institute of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics, and Gynecology», Razmik Abrahamyan, and his deputy Arshak Jerjerian, as well as the director of the «Yerevan Orphanage», Liana Karapetyan, were arrested.

«Joghouvout» also published that a woman was detained in connection with the criminal case, whose name was not disclosed for privacy reasons. She was later released on bail. Furthermore, it was reported that law enforcement invited individuals from France for questioning as part of this criminal case.

Now, more details have emerged regarding the actions of those arrested and the forthcoming developments in the case. In particular, law enforcement has identified the families from which children were adopted by foreign citizens, documenting that the families of the adopted children were living in extreme conditions.

Significantly, law enforcement has also uncovered how the suspects in the criminal case identified the identities of vulnerable families and personally went to find them.

Moreover, according to exclusive information received by the newspaper, law enforcement is expected to approach the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in connection with this criminal case, as employees of the ministry were involved in the process. This indicates that the investigation is pointing towards the ministry and former ministers.
