Armenia International Airports Plans to Invest $5 Million in Shirak Airport
In an effort to develop Gyumri's Shirak Airport and attract budget airlines, the airport's Rescue and Firefighting Service has recently been equipped with a Striker-3000 fire truck, battery charging equipment, firefighting gear, new fire extinguishers, gym equipment, communication devices, and a young staff.
In a conversation with ArmDaily.am, Satenik Hovhannisyan, the public relations manager of Zvartnots International Airport, stated that over the past two years, Armenia International Airports LLC has invested $4 million in Gyumri's Shirak Airport and plans to invest an additional $5 million in the next two years. As a result, the total investment over eight years will reach $20 million.
