European Countries Face Risk of Gas Cataclysm

Meetings between representatives of Russia and Ukraine regarding gas have concluded in Vienna. The delegations from Gazprom and Naftogaz met for over 4 hours, featuring Gazprom's president Alexey Miller and Naftogaz's CEO Yuri Vitrenko. This was reported by the TASS agency.

The main topic of discussion was the extension of the contract for the transit of gas from Russia to Europe through Ukraine. It is worth noting that the existing contract is set to expire by the end of the year, which jeopardizes the stable supply of gas to European countries. For this reason, the issue remains a constant focus of attention for European nations.
