Citizen Attempts to Smuggle Weapons into Armenia from Georgia

An incident of illegal weapon trafficking has been thwarted at the Georgian-Armenian border. This was reported by Aliq.ge.

The weapons were discovered as a result of a thorough inspection of a vehicle. Employees at the Bagratashen checkpoint found weapons in the car of an Armenian citizen returning from Georgia.

According to the press service of the State Revenue Committee, border guards developed suspicions and sent the vehicle of the Armenian citizen for a double inspection.

During the search, six pneumatic guns were found near the engine, which, according to the car owner, belong to another Armenian citizen.

A report has been prepared concerning the incident, materials are being prepared, and the weapons have been seized.
