The Appeal in Kocharian's Bail Case Assigned to Judge Lusine Abgaryan
The appeal regarding the bail conditions of Armenia's second president, Robert Kocharian, has been assigned to Judge Lusine Abgaryan of the Court of Appeals, according to information from the Datalex court information system.
The assignment occurred on December 10, and a decision on whether to accept or reject the case has yet to be made.
It is noteworthy that the defense lawyers have appealed the decision made by General Jurisdiction Court Judge Anna Danibekyan on November 7, which denied the bail application for Robert Kocharian. The appeal was previously assigned to Judge Mikitar Papoyan.
During the first court session, the prosecuting attorneys submitted a recusal request against the judge, citing external factors that they believe may raise doubts about the impartiality of the court.
