Very Well, I Acknowledge It: Marutyan's Spokesperson on Khajakyan's Debate Invitation

The Yerevan municipality was unaware that Davit Khajakyan, the leader of the ‘Luys’ faction, had invited Mayor Hayk Marutyan to a debate. “What debate are we talking about?” – said Hayk Marutyan's spokesperson, Hakob Karapetyan, when we tried to clarify whether Mr. Marutyan would accept the debate invitation.

In response to the observation that Khajakyan announced he was canceling the remote debate and inviting Hayk Marutyan to a face-to-face debate live on air, Karapetyan replied, “Very well, I acknowledge it.”

When asked when we could clarify what Hayk Marutyan’s response would be, the spokesperson answered, “As soon as there is a response, you will be informed immediately.”
