Former Head of Bavra Customs Post Yere Margaryan Wins Case Against SCS
Former Head of the Bavra Customs Post Yere Margaryan has won a case against the State Revenue Committee (SRC). This is reported by the newspaper "Hraparak."
“The SRC will have to pay Margaryan the full amount of his unpaid salary since 2017,” states the publication.
The newspaper recalls a statement issued by the Prosecutor's Office in May 2017, according to which Yere Margaryan was arrested on charges of bribery.
“He has been contesting the allegations in court for about 2 years, but he has not yet been relieved of his position; his powers have been suspended pending a court ruling. According to the law, he was supposed to receive a salary every month, which the SRC did not do,” the article mentions.
The SRC had informed Margaryan that his salary was being preserved, but that did not mean they had to pay him.
The lawsuit was granted last month, and the SRC is now obligated to transfer the full amount.
