Criminal Case Initiated for Misconduct by Public Officials
The Special Investigative Service of Armenia has initiated a criminal case based on materials received from the State Audit Office. The case is based on violations under Articles 308 and 315, Part 2, as well as Article 195, Part 2, point 3, and Article 179, Part 3, point 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. The criminal proceedings relate to the alleged misconduct of public officials in the Ministry of Police concerning the procurement and maintenance of transportation and other technical means, the processes of purchasing various services and products, and the spending of grants and subsidies allocated to several companies.
This investigation pertains to allegations of abuse of official powers, negligence in official duties, and the facilitation of anti-competitive activities through the misuse of their official positions. The investigation is currently ongoing.
