Nikolay Sargsyan Dismissed from Position as Armenia's Consul General
The newspaper "Factor" reports that in April, it received information indicating that Nikolay Sargsyan, Armenia's Consul General, has been dismissed from his position. According to our sources, Sargsyan does not meet the requirements of the new authorities in terms of the changing times and the expectations from the "new Armenia." On the other hand, we have received information that at the request of the Ukrainian police, the French National Police sent an inquiry to the Armenian Consulate in Lyon regarding Sargsyan's status. They informed that Nikolay Sargsyan has been relieved of his duties and is no longer the Consul General, while details about his whereabouts remain unknown.
However, in response to the newspaper's inquiries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied these claims. They stated that "the French National Police did not submit a written inquiry to the Armenian Consulate General in Lyon regarding the whereabouts of Consul General Nikolay Sargsyan." For more details, see today’s issue of the newspaper.
