I Strongly Condemn the Attack on the 'Hayeli' Editorial Office: Governmental MP

MP Gayane Abrahamyan from the ‘My Step’ faction of the National Assembly writes:

“I strongly condemn the attack on the ‘Hayeli’ editorial office. Any form of pressure or violence against a media outlet is absolutely unacceptable, even if it is often difficult to define a media outlet among the numerous platforms present in the field; such behavior is UNACCEPTABLE. There are numerous legal avenues available to combat platforms that disseminate misinformation, insults, and slanderous materials. The failure to condemn the attacks by certain groups on civil society has also led to the recurrence of such actions and has considered them as a possible means of struggle, which is unacceptable and must be condemned equally. It is no secret that freedom of speech is a paramount value for us and also one of the most significant achievements of the revolution, and any encroachment against it should not only have legal consequences but also merit public condemnation and should be firmly rejected at its root.”
