Democracy Cannot Exist Without Free Press, Parliamentary Official Says
The Chairman of the National Assembly's Permanent Commission on State and Legal Affairs, Vladimir Vardanyan, writes:
“Dear compatriots, I have always adhered to the approach that without a free press and comprehensive media, full democracy cannot exist. Any encroachment on media is strictly condemnable. Democracy in the Republic of Armenia has no alternative, and without a free press, democracy cannot exist.”
