Suppliers of Sanitek Demand Their Payments: Protest Action
Suppliers contracted with Sanitek have gathered in front of the Government building, demanding payments that Sanitek owes but has not made. They have stated that the total amount is approximately 122 million drams, which could rise to as much as 300 million drams with additional calculations.
“We know for a fact that we cannot get anything from Sanitek. We expect government support to understand what we can do. We are even considering legal action. We did not come here to just ask the government for our money; we want to know if we are alone in this, or if our state is standing behind us,” they said. “There have always been issues with Sanitek; we have made many concessions, and have gone months without payment, but this is the breaking point.”
