Armenian Consulate in Rostov Denies Reports of Abuse Against Armenian Man by Doctors
The Armenian Consulate General in Rostov-on-Don has responded to information circulating on social media and in the press regarding the alleged mistreatment of Roman Babayan, who was admitted to the intensive care unit following an electric shock while working in Rostov-on-Don.
The consulate reports that the circulated information is not true. Representatives of the Armenian Consulate General in Rostov visited Roman twice in the intensive care unit. During a conversation with Roman, he personally denied the accusations of being beaten and mistreated by doctors, stating instead that he is a citizen of Uzbekistan.
The head of the hospital's burn unit, Harutyun Dombayev, confirmed that the victim's condition is severe and that the man will undergo surgery for a skin graft.
