Emergency Incident During Doha-Yerevan Flight: Why Was the Flight to Yerevan Canceled?
An emergency incident occurred at Doha International Airport during a flight to Yerevan. As reported by RUSARMINFO, on the evening of September 28 (local time 21:45), the Qatar Airways Airbus A320, operating a regular flight from the Qatari capital to Armenia's capital, abruptly halted its flight due to an emergency situation.
Following the emergency stop, passengers were informed that the cause was a computer malfunction in the aircraft. The passengers were evacuated from the runway to the airport, where they were offered dinner. According to the passengers, the flight was conducted with a very old aircraft (they noted that Qatar Airways uses older planes for all flights to Armenia).
It took four hours to resolve the issue. Passengers were transferred to Yerevan on a new aircraft that departed Doha on September 29 at local time 01:30. According to the website, there have been no official statements from either Qatar or Armenia regarding the incident.
