86 Years Ago Today the First Tbilisi-Yerevan Flight Took Place
86 years ago today, on September 30, the first Tbilisi-Yerevan flight was conducted, marking the beginning of the history of civil aviation in the Republic of Armenia. The Facebook page of Zvartnots Airport informs us that the first head of civil aviation was Gegham Gharibjanian.
Since that day, many years have passed and civil aviation has seen numerous leaders, but their common goal has always been to develop Armenian aviation.
Zvartnots Airport congratulates the Day of Civil Aviation of the Republic of Armenia. "Our desire is the same - to develop Armenian civil aviation. May the aircraft soaring in the sky be countless, and may safety be their companion. Happy September 30, happy Armenian Aviation Day," reads the message from Zvartnots Airport.
