“We Start the Day from the Sevan Mental Health Center,” Torosyan

The Minister of Health, Arsen Torosyan, wrote on his Facebook page:

“We start the day from the Sevan Mental Health Center. It has recently been renamed from the Sevan Psychiatric Hospital to a Mental Health Center. Caring for the health of our citizens with mental health issues is one of our top priorities.

The reforms in this sector include improving the living conditions of our citizens, ensuring they are treated with dignity by medical staff, providing medication, and facilitating their reintegration into social life. I also consider the deinstitutionalization of the sector, with the development of community health centers, to be very important. There is no health without mental health.”
