Manvel Grigoryan Remains in Custody

The former MP and General Manvel Grigoryan and his wife Nazik Amiryan were once again absent from the court session regarding the criminal case against them. The reason cited was health issues, according to a certificate from the 'Nairi' Medical Center.

The defense once again requested to change the measure of restraint from detention to bail, arguing that Manvel Grigoryan has been deprived of the opportunity to access fresh air.

Prosecutors objected to the request, stating that the inter-agency medical commission continues to function and that Grigoryan is receiving treatment at the hospital of his choice.

Judge Mnatsakan Martirosyan rejected the defense's request to replace the detention measure with a bail of 25 million drams after half an hour of deliberation. The court hearing has been postponed to September 17.
