Threatened to Publish Love Conversation Video, Demanded $2000

Investigations are underway in a territorial police department regarding an extortion case. According to Shamshyan.com, a resident of Vayots Dzor Province, 39-year-old Tsovik Sh., reported to the territorial police that on the same day, in the parking lot of his residential building, a fellow citizen, 57-year-old Varuzhan D., showed him a video of a love conversation that took place in August of this year in the office of one of the well-known resorts in the republic.

After showing the video, Varuzhan D. demanded either $2000 or sexual relations with him, threatening to delete the video or not send it to his husband. After being rejected, Varuzhan D. reportedly struck Tsovik Sh., clawed his hands and various parts of his body, and then grabbed him by the neck, causing physical pain according to Tsovik Sh.

Materials are being prepared in the investigative department of the territorial division regarding the incident. A forensic examination has been scheduled. According to sources, Varuzhan D. works at one of Armenia's well-known resort centers.
