VIDEO: 114 Drivers Under Police Scrutiny, Items Thrown from Vehicles
During the intensified service conducted by the Road Police of Armenia from August 26 to September 2, several violations were identified across the republic.
In Yerevan, law enforcement officers from the first police battalion of the Road Patrol Service transferred 124 vehicles to the special area maintained by the Road Police. Among these, 15 drivers were found to be operating their vehicles under the influence.
Additionally, from August 26 to September 2, officers from the second police battalion of the Road Patrol Service conducted similar intensified service in the regions. They transferred 106 vehicles to a secure area, with 25 drivers found to be driving while intoxicated.
Furthermore, 62 vehicles were identified with tinted windows, of which 2 drivers removed the tint upon detection of the violation, while 8 did so within 24 hours. There were also 5 drivers operating vehicles with expired insurance policies, and 2 without registration plates.
