Following Mass Poisoning, Gyumri's 'Dvin' Restaurant Temporarily Closed
Following a mass poisoning incident, the operation of Gyumri's 'Dvin' restaurant has been temporarily suspended, and a criminal case has been initiated. This was stated by Aravik Khachatryan, head of the public relations department of the Republic of Armenia's Prosecutor General's Office, in a conversation with Tert.am.
As reported by Armenpress, Shirak Governor Tigran Petrosyan also made a post on his Facebook page regarding this issue. Addressing the situation of the 44 hospitalized patients, the governor informed that currently, 3 patients are in the hospital—2 adults and 1 child. 'At this moment, 2 adults and 1 child are in the hospital, and according to doctors, they may be discharged during the day.' Representatives from the police, investigative committee, and food safety inspection are jointly clarifying the details of the incident. A criminal case has been initiated, as noted in the governor's post.
It is noteworthy that 47 citizens displaying symptoms of poisoning were transported to medical centers in Gyumri and the infectious-tuberculosis hospital, two of whom have been assessed by doctors as being in satisfactory condition, while others received appropriate medical assistance and were discharged.
