Stromboli Volcano Erupts for the Second Time in Two Months
The Italian island of Stromboli has experienced a volcanic eruption, marking the second such event in the past two months.
Firefighters have attempted to extinguish fires caused by flowing lava using aircraft. On July 4, an eruption resulted in the death of an Italian climber.
With around 500 residents, Stromboli is located north of Sicily. Despite being home to active volcanoes, the island attracts a considerable number of tourists.
