Car Rolls into Ravine in Vayots Dzor: 3 Dead, 3 Injured

Today, August 24, a major and tragic traffic accident occurred in the Vayots Dzor province. Around 5:15 PM, the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee with license plate 17 LS 177 lost control of the vehicle on a section of the Getap-Martuni road, specifically in the administrative area of the village of Karaghlukh, under still unspecified conditions. The vehicle veered off the roadway and rolled into a ravine, rolling several times for approximately 250 meters.

According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, three individuals died at the scene. Their bodies were recovered from the ravine by the emergency services from Yeghegnadzor and local citizens using special ropes. Additionally, three other individuals were taken to the Yeghegnadzor medical center with varying degrees of injuries.

A criminal case has been initiated. The police and investigative department are working to establish the identities of the driver, the deceased, and the injured.
