Victims and Injured Identified in Vayots Dzor Region Accident

Today, on August 24, at around 5:15 PM, a major and tragic traffic accident occurred in the Vayots Dzor region. The Ministry of Emergency Situations has presented new details regarding the three fatalities and three injured.

Near the 20th kilometer of the Geghapat-Martuni section of the M-10 highway, a "Grand Cherokee" vehicle (driver: Hakob K., born in 1978) veered off the road and rolled approximately 300 meters into a nearby ravine.

The driver and two passengers (Ani E., born in 1978, and Syuzanna K., born in 2001) died on the spot, while the other passengers (Nona K., born in 2003, Susanna K., born in 1958, and Derenik K., born in 2009) sustained varying degrees of bodily injuries.

Rescuers retrieved the injured from the ravine and brought them to the ambulance, after which they were hospitalized at the Yeghegnadzor Medical Center. Rescuers also brought the bodies of the deceased out of the ravine and transferred them to a mortuary vehicle.
