Major Landslide: Road to Vorotan Closed in Both Directions
On July 24, at 13:02, the 911 emergency service reported a landslide in Khut village, Syunik Province, which resulted in the closure of access to the village's orchards and the road leading to Vorotan.
An operational group from the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was found that the landslide was approximately 60 meters long and about 40 meters wide, making the roadway closed in both directions (an alternative route is available).
Rescuers have cordoned off the area. The information received has been forwarded to the advisor to the governor, the head of the local self-government and republican executive bodies department of the regional administration, and the head of the transportation department.
