Armenian Dram Ranked Among Most Stable Currencies
In the past week (July 18-25), the exchange rates of most currencies from former Soviet republics have declined against the US dollar. According to Vesti.Economia, six national currencies recorded negative figures against the US dollar, while four managed to post positive results.
The Armenian dram has strengthened the most (+0.09%), followed by the Ukrainian hryvnia (+1.36%), Moldovan leu (+0.68%), and Belarusian ruble (+0.29%). As of today, one American dollar is equivalent to 475.94 drams.
It is noted that within a week, the Georgian lari showed the most significant decline (-1.11%), followed by the Uzbek som (-0.46%), Russian ruble (-0.27%), Kyrgyz som (-0.13%), Kazakh tenge (-0.06%), and Tajik somoni (-0.0001%).
Meanwhile, the dollar registered a weekly increase in the international market (+0.4%). Additionally, the price for a barrel of Brent crude oil rose from $63.2 to $63.5 (+0.5%) within the week.
