Similar acts of hooliganism have no place in Abovyan and in Armenia: CP statement
The leadership of the Civil Contract party has issued a statement condemning recent events.
“The CP leadership strongly condemns the incident that took place in Abovyan on June 8, where an unknown individual or individuals set fire to the entrance door of the home of one of the CP candidate's subordinates and their vehicle. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries,” the statement reads.
“A criminal case has already been initiated regarding this incident, and we are confident that law enforcement agencies will soon find and apprehend those responsible. We declare with full responsibility that similar acts of hooliganism have no place in Abovyan and in Armenia as a whole. The perpetrators will be punished to the full extent of the law. We will closely monitor the developments of this case.”
