"This is unacceptable": Discussion in the UK Parliament
The UK Parliament has discussed the issue of Armenian national team player and Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan's decision not to travel to Baku.
“UEFA states that the right to enjoy football belongs to everyone, regardless of who you are, where you come from, and how you play. However, next week, Henrikh Mkhitaryan will miss the game of his life simply because he is from Armenia. And Arsenal fans with Armenian surnames have been denied visas for the trip to Baku. This is a scandal, and a very ugly side of this beautiful game,” said Tom Watson.
It is worth noting that Arsenal fans have started a petition demanding a change in the venue of the Europa League match.
