LUSANKAR: Hripsime Khurshudyan Stripped of All Titles Since 2008
The International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) has stripped former member of Armenia's women's weightlifting team, Hripsime Khurshudyan, of all titles she has won since 2008. This information comes from the official website of the organization.
Hripsime Khurshudyan, who won a bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympic Games, had already returned her medal following a re-testing of doping samples that came back positive. Now, the Armenian weightlifter has lost her other medals as well.
Her doping test was positive not only for the London Olympic Games but also for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Consequently, all medals and recorded results earned by the weightlifter since 2008 have been annulled.
It is also important to recall that just months ago, the Secretary General of the Armenian Weightlifting Federation, Pashik Alaverdyan, asserted that Hripsime Khurshudyan would no longer be competing.
