30-Year-Old Driver Hits 13-Year-Old Schoolchild in Ararat Province
The investigation into a hit-and-run incident that occurred on April 12 in Ararat Province is being carried out by the investigator of the 1st platoon of the 2nd police battalion, Gevorg Poghosyan, as reported by Shamshyan.com.
At around 14:15, 30-year-old Narek Hakobyan, a resident of Nor Kharberd, struck 13-year-old Rima Hakobyan from the same village while driving his VAZ 2121 vehicle with registration number 35 RC 054 on the Artashat highway in Ayntap.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver did not flee the scene and helped transport the injured child to the Masis Medical Center.
As Shamshyan reports, the injured child is a 7th-grade student at Ayntap Secondary School No. 2.
