Protest Against Hayk Marutyan and Arthur Meschanian
A protest is taking place in the capital against Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan and Chief Architect Arthur Meschanian. Participants of the protest are holding signs reading "Vandalism". They are protesting against the demolition of the former Ministry of Education and Science building located at 13 Khorenatsi Street, next to the Shirak Hotel.
Earlier, the Yerevan Municipality announced that the former Ministry of Education and Science building at 13 Khorenatsi Street, adjacent to the Shirak Hotel, is set to be restored with a new approach.
The building was dismantled back in 2004, at which time only the façade was preserved.
