Criminal Case Launched in Spain Following NTV Co-founder Malashenko's Death
A criminal case has been opened in Spain regarding the death of Igor Malashenko, co-founder and former director of the NTV television channel. This information was reported by RIA Novosti, citing Timur Valeyev, a former colleague of the deceased from Ksenia Sobchak's election headquarters.
“The details of the case management are currently being discussed. If the case is handled by the Spanish police, all of this (the farewell ceremony and the funeral) will be delayed,” said Valeyev.
He also mentioned that Malashenko's wife, Bozhena Rynskaya, arrived in Spain last night and has already spoken with police officials regarding the case.
It should be noted that Malashenko's body was discovered in Spain yesterday. Preliminary data suggests that he may have committed suicide.
