"I Feel Sad When..." Statement by Pashinyan's Daughter
The daughter of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Mariam Pashinyan, wrote on her Facebook page: "When I see fake news about me or my family members, I don't feel sad about how they want to present me (us) in a negative light, but I feel sad that there are still people in Armenia who are trying to instill disappointment and despair in a people who have fought for years and finally triumphed by spreading fake news about us. Many of us can distinguish misinformation and tabloid journalism from real information, but there are many who are not accurately guided when searching for information.
I hope that one day the media in Armenia will enter a new qualitative platform, which will truly be useful for guiding society, presenting reality, and addressing the real issues of society to the authorities. Today, there is no such media in Armenia."
