Are Children Being Offered Candy Containing Drugs? Nelly Duryan Responds to the Rumor

In response to recent reports, Nelly Duryan, the head of the juvenile rights protection and domestic violence prevention division of the Armenian Police, addressed circulating information regarding individuals allegedly approaching children in school zones and offering them candy containing drugs.

“Recently, there have been rumors that various individuals are approaching children on the street and offering them candy that allegedly contains drugs. We would like to inform that the police have not received any such reports to date. We urge citizens who witness such incidents to immediately contact the police. At the same time, we call on the public to refrain from disseminating unfounded information that may create a state of panic among parents,” she wrote.
