Accusers are Scoundrels: Lawyer Ceases Defense of Manvel Grigoryan
Arsen Mkrtchyan, one of the defense attorneys for former MP and General Manvel Grigoryan, has announced that he is ceasing his defense concerning the charge of embezzling food meant for a soldier or freedom fighter.
He wrote this on his Facebook page.
“Effective immediately, I am ceasing my defense of Manvel Grigoryan regarding the charge of embezzling food meant for a soldier or freedom fighter, as this accusation is an unfounded fabrication. As for the remaining charges, I leave them to the attorneys of other cases; I have nothing left to justify before my family, relatives, friends, and homeland. Those who doubt are scoundrels,” he stated.
It should be noted that Manvel Grigoryan is accused of illegal acquisition and possession of military ammunition, as well as large-scale property theft. He was detained in June of this year.
Furthermore, it should be recalled that the charges against Manvel Grigoryan have been expanded. He faces accusations under several provisions of the RA Criminal Code, including Article 235 Part 2, Article 179 Part 3 Clause 1, Article 38-205 Part 2, Article 205 Part 2, Article 179 Part 3 Clause 1, and Article 38-182 Part 3 Clause 2.
