PHOTOS: Major Car Accident in Shirak Province

On January 15, a major car accident occurred in Shirak Province. Around 14:00, vehicles driven by 22-year-old Marat Torosyan from the village of Marmashen, 57-year-old Hovhannes Minasyan from the village of Gtashen, and 26-year-old Ani Vardanyan from Gyumri collided on the 7th kilometer of the Gyumri-Amasia highway. The vehicles involved included a VAZ 2121 with license plate 04 LL 191, a VAZ 21230 with license plate 35 LT 003, and a Mitsubishi Pajero with license plate 50 MM 770, as reported by shamshyan.com.

The collision resulted in the Niva overturning. As a result of the accident, Marat Torosyan, Ani Vardanyan, and a passenger in the VAZ 21230, 55-year-old Susanna Torosyan from Gyumri, were taken to the Gyumri Medical Center with bodily injuries.

Hours after the accident, 57-year-old Hovhannes Minasyan from Gtashen village visited the Gyumri Medical Center, reporting chest pain resulting from the aforementioned accident, claiming he was a passenger in the VAZ 21230.

Investigations are ongoing in the Akhuryan investigative division regarding the incident.
