Strong Winds Cause Damage in Yerevan and Regions: Trees Down, Roofs and Vehicles Damaged
On August 14, starting at 20:00, the National Security Service's 112 operational management center received reports regarding strong winds, particularly in the administrative districts of Central Yerevan, Nor Nork, Erebuni, Malatia-Sebastia, as well as in the Gegharkunik and Kotayk regions.
The winds caused damage to roofs, metal sheets, electric wires, vehicles, uprooted trees, displaced streetlights, and blocked roads. The relevant units of the rescue service promptly responded to all incidents.
On-site work included the cutting and removal of fallen trees, disassembly and reinforcement of displaced poles, and delineation of affected areas, along with other necessary operations.
Information regarding the incidents has been forwarded to the relevant authorities.
