Newborn Girl Found Under Iron Sheets; Doctors Manage to Save Her Life

On August 10, around 20:40, operational information was received at the Mashtots Division of the Community Police Department of the RA Police regarding a newborn girl found under iron sheets in the playground of the Halabyan 13 building.

Before the community police arrived, the Yerevan emergency medical team No. 25 provided necessary medical assistance to the newborn girl, tied the umbilical cord, and transported her to the Republican Institute of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics, and Gynecology (the Razmik Abrahamyan Maternity Hospital).

Thanks to the professional work of the doctors, the baby’s life was saved, but she will need to remain under the supervision of specialists for some time.

A criminal case has been initiated in the investigative department regarding the incident. Community police officers and investigators are taking measures to identify the child's mother.
